Operations Manager Job –  F&B – 4*Hotel

We are seeking an experienced senior Operations Manager with a powerful F&B back and experience in running large volume food and beverage sites including weddings, events, restaurants and bars. Must have experience catering for over 1500 pax simultaneously

  • Excellent experience in ‘big volumes’ conferencing and banqueting
  • Management of multiple conferences, events, banquets simultaneously
  • Excellent at implementing and managing systems and controls, ie. Micros POS, beverage control, rosters, staff overtime and tips
  • Methodical and organised
  • A strong delegator and proactive in uplifting staff through training and development to ensure employee empowerment
  • Excellent communicator with guests and colleagues
  • Excellent client relations
  • High energy (large property, long hours when business requires it with multiple functions taking place simultaneously)
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic and mature enough to manage a large department and open minded to adapt to short turnaround time of functions and guest requests
  • Strong culinary background to assist when discussing hotel menus and ability to discuss and design bespoke menus with clients

Cost to company employment package includes: R45000 per month

Accommodation in a two bedroom house on-property, meals provided while on duty (2 meals per day), after completion of 6 month probationary period provident fund and medical aid may be applied for, uniform (excluding evening wear – suit)
