Luxurious Spa offering a full range of treatments is seeking a high-end, very experienced SPA MANAGER to lead their team and creat a 5* spa experience for guests.

Inside the Spa are 5 treatment rooms, a 4 person rasul chamber, stylish champagne bar serving light refreshments and a thermal suite comprising of a laconium, aroma steam room, herbal sauna, salt steam room, ice fountain, drench showers and heated relaxation loungers.

Candidate please read carefully the details at the bottom of this advert as there are costs involved in gettting a 3 year work visa for the UK!

17 staff and up to £45k per annum, based on 45 hour working week. Overtime is paid and its 1.5 time if work on a 6th day. Subsidized staff accommodation is available if required at 220 pounds per month. All meals on and off duty 3 times a day!

The Spec

As Spa Manager you will build professional relationships with guests and lead the team in demonstrating a customer focused service. You will have a passion for health and fitness, excellent personal presentation, the ability to plan and problem solve effectively, business acumen and sales awareness You will be responsible for the day to day management of the Spas facilities and staff and monitor the Spa’s financial performance.

Steering both the financial, and team performance, to the highest levels and demonstrating strong leadership to shape the future of the business.

Demonstrating a knowledge of “wellness” treatments and the benefits of spa use to become an ambassador for the spa brand.



– Establish standards and procedures in line with the highest quality of spa experience

– Co-ordinate spa training programmes to ensure standards are delivered

– Ensure recruitment process works to secure and retain appropriate quality of team members

– Implement feedback mechanisms for da-spa day and treatments and incorporate into a plan of action


– Collaborate with sales and marketing team to ensure a twelve-month plan is created and delivers to budget on both income and outlay

– Develop a retail sales strategy through gifting, merchandising and treatment home-care

– Manage all related costs in line with budget and ensure margins are protected with detailed stock management standards

– Create a series of regular promotional events and activities to engage both spa visitors and local press with new products and experiences


– Manage departmental spend in line with budget

– Set financial targets, backed up by plan on how these will be achieved

– Produce monthly reports highlighting performance in all areas including previously agreed spa KPI’s

– Ensure all supplier contracts are regularly reviewed


– To establish two-way communication with senior management and spa team to raise awareness of all activities, opportunities and challenges

– Carry out regular job reviews with direct reports, setting objectives in line with business strategy

– Ensuring all actions affecting performance are followed up and co-ordinated accordingly

– Regularly review website content and collateral


* Minimum 3 years of work experience in a management or assistant management position within the spa industry

* NVQ 3 Beauty Therapy, or equivalent, and practical experience

* Business development – ability to identify commercial opportunities in the convert them to revenue enhancing strategies

* Relationship building – ability to forge new relationships and solidify existing ones

* Excellent communication: verbal, non-verbal & written

* Computer skills – self-sufficient in MS Office suite


* Retail – track record in managing spa retail to successful outcome

* Wellness enthusiast– ability to drive wellness strategies for team members and spa users to reflect the vision of the business

Tier 2 Work Visas for Skilled Workers – UNITED KINGDOM – explained

The company will sponsor candidates and is offering a THREE-YEAR UK SPONSORSHIP. This cost will be carried by the company to get chefs there and is approximately 3500 Pounds Stirling (R70000)

However, the company will not cover the cost of the actual visa processing or flights to the UK.  This will need to be covered by the candidate and is also approximately R65000 – R74000. In this amount is included all of the medical insurance cover for the full 3 years! This amount cannot be deducted over the course of your employment.

Spouses, partners and dependents are welcome!

Visas are easily extendable and can lead to citizenship after 7 years if you wish to get a British passport!
