Sous Chef – Luxury 4* Hotel – Scotland
We are currently seeking a talented and creative individual to join our client’s team as a Sous Chef for a prestigious luxury hotel in Scotland. This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a team and contribute to the culinary excellence of our clients hotel.
As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee the kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences for our guests. Your culinary expertise, leadership skills, and attention to detail will play a crucial role in establishing the hotel as a premier dining destination in Scotland.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in planning and executing menus, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation
Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring a productive and motivated team
Oversee food preparation and production, maintaining high standards of taste, appearance, and portion control
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and implement innovative culinary concepts and offerings
Monitor and control food costs and inventory, minimizing waste and maximizing profitability
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Assist in menu development, taking into consideration guest preferences and dietary requirements
Ensure efficient communication and coordination with other departments
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a luxury hotel, fine dining restaurant, or resort
Strong culinary skills and creativity, with a passion for delivering exceptional cuisine
Proven leadership and managerial abilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work under pressure
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Relevant culinary certifications or degree is advantageous
