Sous Chef – High-End Luxury Restaurant – V&A Waterfront, Cape Town

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic team at our bustling, high-end restaurant located at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, exceptional leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.



  • – Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • – Ensure the highest quality and consistency in all dishes served.
  • – Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • – Maintain inventory and manage stock levels, ensuring timely ordering and proper storage of ingredients.
  • – Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen.
  • – Innovate and contribute to new menu ideas, keeping up with current culinary trends.
  • – Manage kitchen staff schedules and ensure efficient workflow during service hours.



  • – Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant setting.
  • – Culinary degree or relevant certification.
  • – Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • – Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • – Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • – Passion for culinary arts and a commitment to excellence.
