My client has an exciting opportunity in a countryside hotel for a Sous Chef, £26,000 per year based on 39 hours per week. With additional hours pro rata
MUST HAVE HIGH VOLUME RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE
Please note that if you do not have a British Passport, you will require a Skilled Worker Visa – there will be costs involved, mainly covered by the hotel. The candidate will be required to pay for the flight to the UK, the TB medical test and the English Proficiency Test. We will assist you through the process in its entirety.
B1 CEFR Level English Language (written, spoken, and understanding)
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a quality hotel or restaurant with excellent references and paperwork to validate this.
Professional training and qualification as a chef
Clean criminal record
In good health with physical ability to undertake the role
Cooking and preparing high quality dishes
Assisting the Head Chef to create menu items, recipes and develop dishes
Ability to work Starters, Mains and Dessert.
Supervising, motivating and working closely with other Chefs of all levels with a calm, positive and respectful manner.
Observing for health and safety and food hygiene practices
Ensuring food quality and excellent standards are maintained for all dishes created
Assisting with determining food inventory needs, stocking and ordering
Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines once trained in UK standards.
