Senior Front of House/Assistant General Manager – Busy Restaurant – V&A Waterfront
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Front of House/Assistant General Manager to join our client’s renowned restaurant in the vibrant V&A Waterfront area. As an internationally recognized franchise with multiple high-end restaurant brands, they are committed to providing their customers with the exceptional “franchise experience” at all times.
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of food and wine to ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Manage food cost and bar stock effectively, ensuring efficient operations and profitability.
Possess a solid understanding of labor law and adhere to legal requirements.
Oversee and effectively manage a large staff, including Front of House and Kitchen Managers.
Maintain a fast-paced environment, particularly during peak seasons, while upholding the high standards associated with our franchise.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior position within the hospitality industry.
Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
Proficient in food cost control and bar stock management.
Excellent understanding of labor law and its application within the industry.
Passionate about the restaurant industry and dedicated to providing an exceptional customer experience.
Flexibility to work varying shifts and hours, as the restaurant opens at 8 am and closes at 10 pm.
Attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Salary: Gross CTC between R18,000 and R20,000.
Terms: 6 Month Fixed Term with the possibility of becoming permanent
