Senior Farm Stall and Eatery Manager – Farm Stall – N7 Philadelphia, Cape Town

We are currently seeking a talented and creative individual to join our client’s team as a Senior Farm Stall and Eatery Manager to oversee this expansion and run the new stall opening in July. Customers and High-End quality are the heart of the business. This includes taking a creative lead on layout and presentation, and staffing the stall. The role also involves sourcing produce and keeping the stall stocked and tidy.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing customers with an exceptional in-store experience
Making sure the display of products is of a high standard and that our eatery customers have a high-quality eating experience
The successful candidate will be responsible for running the A-Z of the farm stall / retail and restaurant environments
Developing, then managing the new farm stall
Serving customers
Sourcing produce and plants for stall & shop, from both farms and elsewhere
Maintaining sales records

Requirements:

At least 5 years plus experience in upmarket / high end Deli / restaurant environment
5 years plus experience in a supervisory / team management role
Minimum qualification of Grade 12 or equivalent
Relevant certifications or diploma is advantageous
Computer skills
Experience in protocol and staff management
Understanding of food retail
Retail experience with good presentation skills for shop displays
A head for business and a creative approach to developing the stall’s customer base
Some horticultural experience and an interest in growing
Enthusiasm for local food networks and desire to engage with customers about the farm
Reasonable level of physical fitness

Soft skills:

Guest service and liaison skills are essential
Hands-on approach
Ability to multitask
Excellent time management skills
Ability to grow a retail base and grow a business
