Sales Consultant (On the road) – Cosmetics Company – KwaZulu Natal

A luxurious cosmetic supplier is looking for an On the road Sales Consultant to work into satisfying customers’ needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience industry

Soft Skills:

  1. The position requires strong inter-personal, organisational, admin and multi-tasking skills.
  2. Must be fluent in English (verbal and written)
  3. Time management essential, with the ability to complete work timeously and ask for support when needed.
  4. Understand the need to handle tasks to completion, supporting multiple communication devices/software (whatsapp, emails, calls, online diary)
  5. Capable of learning and following company SOPS


  1. On the Road- sales experience and professional nail experience/training essential.
  2. Must have own car, valid driver’s licence, insurance for rental in the case that their car is not drivable (accident or engine issue)
  3. First appointment begins at 8.30am and last appointment ends at 4.45pm, followed by a daily 15-minute voice call with the sales team.
  4. Bimonthly AM and PM pre booked internal training does occur and is compulsory. (7.30-8.30am remote training/ 17.30-18.30pm remote training – e.g. of times only, please note they may differ)
  5. There should be between 5 – 8 visits a day depending on the area she is working in on that day.
  6. All visits are to be booked in advance and rebooked for the following 2 months.
  7. No additional work, beauty salon or otherwise, is permitted during the week or weekend.
  8. Due to the on the road working hours, family support would be needed for children (where age appropriate). This is compulsory as the position is full time and not flexi-hours.
  9. Smoking is not allowed.
  10. Must be presentable and take care of her appearance (clothes, hair, make up etc)

Additional Information:

  1. They would receive a well-developed existing client base and be responsible for managing and growing the client base as per the company SOPs and KPIs (under the guidance of the management team)
  2. Petrol card supplied – for work related travel only.
  3. Phone & Tablet supplied (Minutes & data included) for work calls and use only.
  4. The candidate must not be studying or attending courses with the intention to leave the industry or change employment


Hard Skills:

  1. Must be capable of managing their online diary (with support from the admin team)
  2. Must be computer literate – Software used: Online ordering portal, Skynamo tracking system, One Drive – file share, Outlook emails & online calendar,  Excel
  3. Orders are taken during clients visits and captured during the day and if necessary, after hours using our online ordering portal.
  4. In an addition to taking orders, store visits will include product launches, kit checks, merchandising of retail and professional stock, troubleshooting (but not training), product spotlights and general value adds
