Sales and Marketing Manager – Luxury Hotel – KwaZulu-Natal
Hospitality Jobs Africa is seeking an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager for our client in KwaZulu-Natal, in Ballito. As a Sales and Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for managing sales and marketing efforts for 2 Establishments. The ideal candidate will be based in the head office in Durban, with occasional travel to the properties as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage sales for various market segments, including travel trade, corporate, leisure, groups, meetings, and events (weddings).
Attend trade and wedding shows to network and promote the properties.
Coordinate sales activities with representation companies.
Manage rate negotiations with Tour Operators to maximize occupancy and revenue.
Manage rates on Opera and our booking channels to ensure they are up to date and competitive.
Coordinate social media and advertising through outsourced partners to ensure maximum exposure for the properties.
Develop sales material as required.
Manage newsletters and automated guest communication pre and post arrival.
Provide monthly stats and reports on occupancy, revenue, and other key performance indicators.
Create events to drive occupancy and revenue, such as a wine festival or wellness retreat.
Work with the General Manager and Operations teams to ensure that guest needs are met and that the properties are running efficiently.
Ultimately drive occupancy and profitability for 2 properties.
PACKAGE:
Between R40,000 – R45,000 per month + benefits
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
A least 5 years Marketing and Sales work experience within the hospitality industry.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, sales, or a closely related field.
A demonstrable understanding of the hospitality industry.
South African Citizenship / Permanent Resident Citizenship / Valid Work Permit required
Attention to detail and commitment to producing best in class collateral
A passion for the hospitality industry and good understanding of the hotel offering
Ability to build strong working relationships and a proactive approach to managing workload.
