Restaurant Operator – Upmarket Dining – Cape Town City Bowl

Our client is seeking an experienced Restaurant General Manager, well trained and experienced in systems, controls and finance and HR to head up this busy operation, reporting in to Head Office

Duties & Responsibilities

excellent communication skills and lots of positive energy
the ability to think on your feet, find solutions and act quickly
outstanding People management skills
the ability to get the best out of your team
the highest of standards when it comes to product quality and customer service
the ability to connect with locals and create a loyal customer base
very good knowledge of stock management, reporting, rostering, controlling labor and managing the financial side of the business
the ability to manage a large building and property and make sure it is maintained and that everything is in a good working order
to be hands-on and a willingness to get involved in the operation where necessary

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum qualification and experience requirements

3 Years’ experience as a General Manager of a restaurant or coffee shop
Exceptional multi-tasking skills
Excellent time management, able to meet exact deadlines and demonstrate a sense of urgency
Excellent management and organizational skills.
Able to multi-task and work under pressure
Organized and structured person
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
