Job Description: Our client is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Restaurant/Kitchen Manager. The ideal candidate will oversee both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the restaurant while maintaining high standards of service and culinary excellence. This position requires strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Description:

• Manage daily restaurant operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize restaurant performance and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes.
• Train and mentor staff to uphold our client’s standards of service and culinary excellence.
• Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
• Collaborate with management to develop menus, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.

Requirements:

• Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to undergo credit and criminal background checks.
• Reside on the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal.
• Proven experience in restaurant management.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food handling procedures.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and restaurant management software.
