Restaurant/Kitchen Manager – Asian Cuisine – Ballito

As they continue to grow and expand their operations, they are seeking a dedicated and skilled Restaurant/Kitchen Manager to join their team.
Job Description: Our client is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Restaurant/Kitchen Manager. The ideal candidate will oversee both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the restaurant while maintaining high standards of service and culinary excellence. This position requires strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Description:
- Manage daily restaurant operations, including staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize restaurant performance and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of high-quality dishes.
- Train and mentor staff to uphold our client’s standards of service and culinary excellence.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collaborate with management to develop menus, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
Requirements:
- Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to undergo credit and criminal background checks.
- Reside on the North Coast of KwaZulu-Natal.
- Proven experience in restaurant management.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food handling procedures.
- Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and restaurant management software.
