Reservationist – Luxury All-Suite 4* Hotel – Umhlanga
We are currently seeking an experienced and customer-focused individual to join our client’s team as a Reservationist for a prestigious luxury all-suite hotel in Umhlanga, South Africa. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a pre-opening team and contribute to the success of their hotel.
As a Reservationist, you will be the first point of contact for their guests, providing exceptional service and handling reservations with precision and efficiency. Your excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and experience working on Opera will be key in delivering a seamless and memorable guest experience.
Manage all aspects of the reservation process, including inputting and updating guest information in the Opera system
Handle reservation inquiries via phone, email, and online channels, providing accurate and timely responses
Process reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations with attention to detail and adherence to hotel policies
Maximize room revenue by upselling and offering promotional packages to guests
Maintain a thorough understanding of room types, rates, and availability
Collaborate with the Front Office team to ensure a seamless guest experience from reservation to check-in
Previous experience as a Reservationist in a luxury hotel or resort
Proficiency in using the Opera POS is essential
Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to anticipate and fulfil guest needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are advantageous)
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Detail-oriented mindset, with a high level of accuracy in handling reservations and guest information
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
Previous experience in a pre-opening environment is preferred
