Come join our team at a prestigious Game Reserve in the Western Cape as a Field Guide/FOH. We’re in search of an experienced, well-presented individual with a love for wildlife and guest satisfaction. As a valued member of our team, you’ll be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, guiding activities, and maintaining the reserve’s high standards.

Description:

• Lead guided guest experiences and activities within the reserve.
• Conduct insightful guided walks showcasing local flora and fauna.
• Assist guests during check-in, orientation, and addressing their needs.
• Act as a bridge between guests and various reserve departments.
• Operate, maintain, and clean company vehicles.
• Aid in reserve management tasks such as game capture and monitoring programs.
• Support personnel administration and timekeeping.
• Assist with stock and inventory control.
• Foster positive relationships with guests and landowners.
• Ensure the safety, comfort, and enjoyment of all guests.

Requirements:

• At least 2-3 years of experience in a 5-star Game Reserve or tourism setting.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and PDP.
• Valid First Aid Level 1 certification or higher.
• FGASA Level 2 qualifications as a Field Guide.
• Familiarity with Western Cape fauna and flora.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Physical and mental fitness.
• Ability to safely operate a 4×4 vehicle and perform basic maintenance.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to thrive under pressure.
• Flexible availability including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
• Hospitality experience and a knack for guest relations.
• Preferred background in general maintenance or related fields.
