As the Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating delectable desserts, pastries, and baked goods that delight the senses and enhance the overall dining experience for our guests. Description:

• Plan and prepare a wide range of desserts, pastries, and baked goods in accordance with the lodge’s standards and menu offerings.
• Develop and execute innovative pastry recipes and menu concepts that cater to diverse tastes and dietary preferences.
• Ensure that all pastry items are prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality, taste, and visual appeal.
• Manage inventory and stock levels of pastry ingredients and supplies, minimizing waste and optimizing cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with other members of the culinary team to coordinate menu planning and execution.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the pastry kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Train and supervise junior pastry staff, providing guidance and support to foster their professional development.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role, preferably in a high-end hotel or lodge environment.
• Culinary qualification from a recognized culinary school or institution.
• Creative flair and passion for pastry arts, with a keen eye for detail and presentation.
• Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and baking methods.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
