Operations Manager – Multiple Coffee Outlets – Uganda
Ideally we are looking for someone from within East Africa or Southern Africa (Zimbabwe/SA), who understands the African context and rural outlets as the position will require a lot of traveling within the country
We don’t mind hiring someone who is currently in a junior position and looking to step up to the challenge, and we can mould
Depending on the experience, we have a target net pay offer of $1,500-$2,000
For someone more senior with proven track record we, could go to between $2,000-$4,000

The Operations Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the day-today kiosk operations, responsible for creating the tone and personality of the brand, the kiosk and the team. The manager will be given autonomy and decision making powers as discussed and agreed with the Directors.
Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures, including but not limited to: opening/closing procedures, cash handling, training manual, product development and knowledge.

Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
Lead by example with on-the-job leadership
Develop and execute Financial goals with Directors, including but not limited to: cost of goods controls, inventory levels, review of P&L.
Create supplier ordering and stock management systems.
Identify & implement staffing, training and hiring needs, including international recruitment of senior management team.
Assist the Directors with new site location feasibility visits
Assist the Directors with new site roll outs set up, launch and manage
Assist with coordinating marketing initiatives and events with property partners.
Multi-Unit retail, café, restaurant or coffee shop management experience
Well-organized, detailed oriented and able to multi-task

Position will require frequent standing and movement
Available to work weekends, holidays and special events as needed
Full Time Position located in Kampala, Uganda.
Initial 3-year contract (as per UG Work Permit), with option to renew for an additional 3 years.
International relocation one-off payment of USD$ 3,000 (if Applicable)
International relocation housing: Furnished apartment provided for first 3 months
All business-related expenses (travel, communication, etc.) to be paid for in full.
Company car will be provided
