Our Client is looking for an Operations Manager to ensure the consistent application of store operating procedures & adherence to local laws and regulations, in a leading food and beverage company that owns and operates international and home restaurant concepts across the Middle East.
With over 500 employees, the company oversees 20 operational outlets including restaurants, delivery services and central kitchen facilities and plans to have a determined expansion across the MENA region.
MAIN DUTIES INCLUDE:
MANAGING & DEVELOPING PEOPLE
STORE PERFORMANCE, BUDGETS & PLANNING
NEW STORE OPENINGS
Lead the local business vision, through Operation Managers to ensure that store operating procedures and standards are consistently and effectively applied
Minimize loss and risk to the business by ensuring appropriate controls are developed and executed
Design action/strategies required for improvement
Ensure all stores in the market adhere to environmental, employment and business laws and regulations
Develop and maintain positive and productive working relations with other brands and ensure support divisions remain focused on store operations
Work in liaison with HRD to ensure current and future operational needs are met
Determine ongoing and long term store staffing requirements
Monitor training and development needs, implement appraisal programs and ensure performance management processes are implemented
Facilitate local succession planning for management vacancies related to restaurants
Support and advice on disciplinary matters, point of contract for appeals process
Ensure that an effective framework for managing and controlling costs is in place and is being executed through the Operations Manager
Monitor stores’ financial performance and focus action on required improvement to meet/exceed business plan
Assist the General Manager in operating budget and market specific strategic/annual business planning and closely monitor budget performance through the cycle and implement corrective action as needed
Lead operational preparation for all new store openings in liaison with the relevant departments
Recommend and coordinate activates required to appoint and prepare staff facilities to opening standard
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
BA in Hospitality Management.
7-10 years of working experience in Food & Beverage/Hotel Management
SKILLS
Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus)
Excellent Communication skills
Strong Leadership and Management skills
