Maintenance Manager – 5* Luxury Lodge – Botswana
About our Client: They are a renowned luxury hospitality and safari management company with a commitment to providing unparalleled guest experiences in the heart of Botswana. Nestled in the breathtaking landscapes of this African gem, they are looking for a dynamic and skilled Maintenance Manager to join their team.
As the Maintenance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation and upkeep of our clients facilities. From overseeing routine maintenance tasks to leading a team of dedicated professionals, you will contribute to the overall success of our clients establishment.
Salary: BWP25 000
Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of maintenance professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and job satisfaction.
Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of facilities, including lodges, recreational areas, and infrastructure, to uphold the highest standards of safety, functionality, and aesthetics.
Budget Management: Work closely with the management team to develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors and contractors to procure materials, equipment, and services, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery.
Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce and promote adherence to health and safety regulations, conducting regular audits and training sessions to maintain a secure environment for guests and staff.
Reporting: Provide regular reports to management on maintenance activities, challenges, and achievements, contributing to strategic decision-making.
Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality or safari industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of maintenance processes and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Budget management experience.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field.
