HR Professional – Wine Estate – Stellenbosch
Our client, a wine estate in Stellenbosch, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Professional to join their team. This role will support the Head of Human Resources, serve as the point of contact for all HR-related queries, and collaborate closely with the Payroll Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely HR generalist support to management and employees, ensuring smooth HR operations across the organization.
Description:
As an HR Professional, you will play a crucial role in driving company policies and procedures, managing HR documentation, and supporting recruitment, wellness, and training initiatives. You will be responsible for maintaining confidential records, coordinating various HR activities, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, has strong organizational skills, and possesses a passion for HR excellence.
Recruitment & Selection:
- Coordinate the recruitment and selection process, including preparation of job offers, employment contracts, and other HR documentation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all HR documents and electronic employee files.
- Monitor and manage termination dates of fixed-term contracts and work permits to ensure compliance.
Wellness & Training:
- Schedule and coordinate wellness and training initiatives, ensuring smooth execution and employee participation.
- Assist with arrangements, logistics, and requirements for training sessions and wellness programs.
- Handle printing, information distribution, and attendance tracking for all wellness and training activities.
- Keep accurate records for legislative reporting and career development purposes.
General HR Support:
- Serve as the contact person for all staff HR queries and provide updates on HR matters using SAGE300.
- Coordinate HR initiatives, order necessary supplies, and support overall HR operations.
- Update HR records and systems to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma or Degree) in Human Resources or a related field.
- At least 2 years of HR administration experience.
- Working knowledge of relevant HR legislation.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Working knowledge of SAGE300 (HR & Payroll module) is non-negotiable.
- Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage a demanding workload in a pressurized environment.
- High standards of ethical conduct, including honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Outgoing, positive personality, reliable, and adaptable.
- Own reliable transport.
