Description:

Human Resources and Industrial Relations Manager – Hospitality Background

  • – Lead and manage the People Management and Training department team, with a specific focus on performance management, training and development, and ensuring legislative compliance.
  • – Act as a company representative at Bargaining Councils and other Statutory councils.
  • – Manage Trade Union relationships and develop strategies to foster positive engagement.
  • – Develop, implement, monitor, and report on all HR and IR related programs, policies, and process improvements at the executive level.
  • – Ensure regular review and approval of Human Resource policies and procedures by the CEO, and effective communication of updates to all staff.
  • – Cultivate a value proposition positioning the company as an Employer of Choice in the Hospitality Sector to attract and retain top talent.
  • – Collaborate with Exco to develop a succession plan and implement leadership development initiatives.
  • – Maintain HR and IR strategies to support operational and strategic objectives.
  • – Represent the company at CCMA in conciliations and arbitrations, managing litigation documentation for Labour Court cases.
  • – Conduct ongoing information gathering to understand staff needs and expectations and plan HR interventions accordingly.
  • – Implement an Attraction and Retention policy and strategy.
  • – Develop Human Capital strategy plans, including employment equity and transformation plans, and ensure budget compliance.

Requirements:

  • – Grade 12 qualification.
  • – BA Degree or HR related qualification (Compulsory).
  • – Minimum of 6 years’ HR and IR Generalist experience, with 3 years of HR Management experience.
  • – Willingness to travel.
  • – Experience in litigation and BBBEE and Transformation processes.
  • Preference will be towards EE applicants
