Housekeeping Manager – 5* Luxury Game Lodge – Limpopo

Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey in the heart of wildlife paradise? We’re seeking a dynamic and passionate Housekeeping Manager to lead our dedicated team at a prestigious 5-star Luxury Game Lodge. Nestled in the breath-taking landscapes of Hoedspruit, Limpopo, our client’s lodge promises a unique blend of luxury, adventure, and natural beauty.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor policies, processes, and standards for effective high-quality housekeeping service.
  • Understand and report on housekeeping needs and expectations of guests; implement processes for immediate response to guest requests.
  • Provide direction, oversight, and guidance to the housekeeping team; ensure timely completion of daily workflow.
  • Submit daily housekeeping discrepancy report to the general manager; conduct morning briefings and daily linen counts.
  • Monitor laundry department for up-to-date laundry and cleanliness standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain effective par-stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with security, health, and safety policies; implement keys control system for safety.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration within the housekeeping team and across the organization.
  • Support implementation and monitoring of an effective pest control system.
  • Ensure consistent, impeccable, intuitive, and proactive customer service to guests.
  • Implement and report on daily service and operational objectives of the team.

Financial:

  • Stock control and stock takes
  • Maintain the correct allocations of expenditures

Rooms Division:

  • Manage the housekeeping and laundry departments in conjunction with the General
  • Manager
  • Ensure the lodge maintains the required standards aesthetically
  • Ensure costs are maintained as per the required standard
  • Assist with Events planning and execution
  • Assist with cost control

 

Package:

  1. R18,000 Monthly
  2. Includes meals while working and a place to stay.
  3. 21 days on 7 days off work cycle, and 15 days annual leave
  4. Provident Fund

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Valid RSA Driver’s License
  • Proficient in MS Office and Email
  • Exceptional Guest Relations skills
  • Ability to manage staff
  • Understanding and ability to manage the housekeeping department
  • Ability to plan ahead and problem solve
  • Financial experience in budget control, stock takes and stock control

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a Big 5 reserve and 5-star lodge necessary
  • Previous housekeeping supervisory experience
