Description:

  • Maintain high standards of professionalism within the team.
  • Provide disciplined and inspirational leadership to ensure productivity and service excellence.
  • Identify and develop staff talent for retention and growth.
  • Manage budgets for Guest Food and Staff Food.
  • Ensure adherence to financial and record-keeping controls.
  • Collaborate with Regional Executive Chef on menu alignment and food quality.
  • Monitor food scores and budgets.
  • Coordinate with Guest Relations Managers and Head Guide to maintain service standards.
  • Conduct daily meetings with department heads to plan operations.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sustainability standards.
  • Oversee uniform orders and stock control.
  • Manage daily kitchen and canteen operations.
  • Maintain cleaning rosters and staff schedules.
  • Facilitate effective communication between departments.
  • Cater to guests with special dietary needs.
  • Implement menu changes to enhance service.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff development.
  • Maintain high guest satisfaction scores and cost efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Formal Chef Qualification.
  • Minimum 5+ years Chef Experience in 5-star hotels or lodges.
  • International exposure is a plus.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to cost menus.
  • Passion for food and the food experience.
  • Effective team leadership and management skills.
