Group Hospitality Trainer – 4* Hotels – Durban
Our client, a renowned 4-star hotel group in Durban, Kwazulu Natal, is seeking a talented Group Hospitality Trainer to join their team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead training initiatives across multiple properties, ensuring excellence in service delivery and guest satisfaction. We are looking for individuals with extensive experience in hospitality training, proficiency in Opera Cloud and Micros Materials Control systems, and relevant certifications.
Description:
As the Group Hospitality Trainer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of our staff members across all hotel properties. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assessing training needs and developing training materials and curriculum tailored to the needs of various departments.
- Conducting training sessions on topics such as customer service, front desk operations, housekeeping standards, food and beverage service, and safety procedures.
- Utilising Opera Cloud and Micros Materials Control systems during training sessions to familiarise staff with these essential tools.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
- Providing ongoing coaching and support to employees to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to standards.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in hospitality training and incorporating them into training programs.
- Collaborating with department heads and HR to identify training needs and develop strategies to address them effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in hospitality training, preferably in a multi-property or corporate setting.
- Proficiency in Opera Cloud and Micros Materials Control systems.
- Relevant certifications in hospitality training or education (e.g., CTH, AHLEI, TESOL) preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to travel between hotel properties within the Kwazulu Natal region as needed.
