General Manager Position available in Vilanculos, Mozambique for a 4* boutique lodge with 14 luxury suites, pools, bar, restaurant, spa and wellness centre.
It will also be beneficial if applicant is in Vilanculos, Mozambique.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team and managing the daily operation of the Lodge.
the GM of the property should have a good understanding of finances as they will be running their business and will be expected to purchase there own supplies, control petty cash, time sheets, revenue etc. We do not have a large staff compliment and all staff are employed as general workers as they need to jump in where needed, the same would apply for the GM’s. These positions will not suit a person who wants to sit in a fancy office in a suit and drink coffee all day. If the grass needs cutting, then they need to do this.
They will be responsible for maintaining the standard of work from employees as well as onboarding and hiring new team members.
Responsibilities – Provide leadership and direction to a team of people – Manage operations and finances of business – Recruit and train new hires on business practices – Drive development of employees – Ensure that quality of work or service is maintained
Qualifications – Management and Customer Service experience Strong administrative skills – Demonstrated ability to lead – Comfort working with budgets, payroll, revenue and forecasting Strong communications skills

Employment Type: Full-time Package of R25 000 (Cost to Company) This is broken down as basic salary is R 20k plus R 5k onsite housing and utilities
