Front of House Manager – Luxury Lodge – Hoedspruit

Description:

As the Front of House Manager, you’ll oversee daily lodge operations, coordinating with the Butler and Housekeeping teams to ensure guests receive exceptional service. Hosting meals and events, anticipating guest needs, and facilitating memorable experiences are key aspects of this role. From managing guest arrivals to orchestrating activities and ensuring the highest standards of hospitality, you’ll be integral to creating a welcoming and luxurious atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the central communication point for daily lodge operations.
  • Provide exceptional service to guests, creating a fun yet professional atmosphere.
  • Coordinate guest arrivals, orientations, and special events.
  • Plan and host guest activities, ensuring creativity and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a presence at the main house, overseeing service and attending to guest needs.
  • Conduct regular checks and address any gaps in service promptly.
  • Ensure consistency in offerings and maintain high standards of presentation.
  • Actively participate in table set-ups and meal service, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Conduct regular walkabouts and address any maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain guest confidentiality and handle feedback with professionalism.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain standard operating systems and familiarize yourself with relevant software.
  • Prepare daily schedules and manage switchboard effectively.
  • Capture guest information accurately and ensure proper billing procedures.
  • Complete necessary reports and liaise with other departments for smooth operations.
  • Conduct regular inventory and coordinate orders as needed.
  • Address technical or IT concerns promptly.

Requirements:

  • Own transportation required.
  • Non-smokers preferred.
  • No pets allowed.
  • Previous experience as a Front of House Manager in a luxury lodge
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to resolve issues promptly.
