Food and Beverage Manager – Luxury Hotel – Cape Town
We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our client team as the Food and Beverage Manager for a prestigious luxury hotel. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the establishment of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
As the Food and Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations, ensuring the highest levels of quality, service, and guest satisfaction. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and passion for culinary excellence will play a vital role in further establishing the hotel as a premier dining destination
Description:
Lead and manage the food and beverage team, including restaurant staff, bar staff, and banquet personnel
Develop and implement innovative menus, considering current market trends and guest preferences
Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional dining experiences, maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create unique culinary offerings and seasonal promotions
Implement and monitor standard operating procedures to maximize operational efficiency and profitability
Train and motivate the team to provide outstanding service, resolving any guest issues promptly and effectively
Monitor and control costs, including food and beverage inventory, labor expenses, and equipment maintenance
Foster positive relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely and quality deliveries of food and beverage products
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Food and Beverage Manager or in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant
Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team
Extensive knowledge of food and beverage operations, including restaurant and banquet service, bar operations, and catering
Exceptional understanding of culinary trends, beverage pairings, and menu development
Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data, control costs, and maximize revenue opportunities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building positive relationships with guests and team members
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
