F&B Supervisor – Prestigious Hotel – Durban
A prestigious hotel in Durban is seeking an experienced F&B Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of their Food & Beverage department. This role requires a dynamic and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards of service.
Description:
As the F&B Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising all aspects of the Food & Beverage department, ensuring that guests receive the highest level of service. Your duties will include managing staff, overseeing food and beverage preparation, and ensuring that all areas are clean and well-maintained. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and assisting in the training and development of the F&B team.
This role requires strong leadership skills, as you will be expected to motivate your team and ensure that service standards are consistently met. You will work closely with the management team to implement new menus, promotions, and service improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the Food & Beverage department.
- Ensure that all F&B areas are clean, well-maintained, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Oversee food and beverage preparation, presentation, and service to ensure consistent quality.
- Manage and motivate the F&B team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner.
- Work with management to develop and implement new menus, promotions, and service enhancements.
- Ensure that all financial and administrative tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the Food & Beverage department of a hotel or restaurant.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the F&B industry.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Computer literacy, including familiarity with POS systems and Microsoft Office.
