Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conduct shift meetings with team members
• Ensure operational standards and procedures are implemented in the restaurant
• Conduct opening and closing as well as mid morning inspections
• Manage financial procedures of the restaurant (Cash ups, handling floats, banking)
• Conduct weekly evaluations and action plans
• Compile reports re sales turnover, and sales mix
• Motivate and develop team members
• Handling of workplace procedures – Industrial relations
• Provide on job coaching and mentoring of staff to ensure desired skill levels are maintained
• Interface with customers and resolve queries
• Ensure a friendly and hospitable restaurant atmosphere
• Manage by example
• Conduct weekly staff meetings
• Maintain pre-determined Gross Profit margins as per brand standard
• Ensure overall profitiability of the store is maintained in line with agreed annual budgets
• Rostering of staff hours
• Ordering of stock and receiving onto the system
• Manage and approve store operating expenses and ensure cost savings are achieved wherever possible
• Ensure store cleanliness, Front of House and Back of House
• Generate reports for Accountant and Management as and when required
• Ensure equipment is correclty maintaned and functional at all times
• Maximise sales through marketing strategies and following brand recommendations

Requirements:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS ATTRIBUTES
• Matric or equivalent
• Fluency in English / Xhosa proficiency an advantage

• Problem solving & analytical skills
• Computer literate

• Financial management
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to handle pressure
• Self-reliant and responsible
• Cultural sensitivity
