Executive Housekeeper Luxury Lodge – Soutpansberg Area

Our client, a prestigious luxury lodge located in the picturesque Soutpansberg area, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Executive Housekeeper to join their team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for hospitality, an eye for detail, and strong leadership skills to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Description:

As the Executive Housekeeper, you will be responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations within our client’s luxury lodge. This role requires someone who can lead by example, maintain impeccable standards, and deliver an exceptional guest experience. Your main duties will include:

  • Supervising and training housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.
  • Developing and implementing efficient cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Managing inventory and ordering of housekeeping supplies, linen, and equipment while ensuring cost control and efficiency.
  • Inspecting guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth daily operations and address any guest concerns or special requests.
  • Maintaining a positive and motivated work environment, fostering a culture of teamwork and exceptional service.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and lodge policies.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a luxury lodge or hotel setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping processes, cleaning chemicals, and health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and shifts as required.
