  • Culinary Leadership: Oversee the entire culinary operation, ensuring the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste in all dishes.
  • Menu Development: Create seasonal and diverse menus that showcase local ingredients, cater to various dietary preferences, and align with the lodge’s commitment to excellence.
  • Kitchen Management: Lead and manage a dynamic kitchen team, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Quality Control: Maintain strict quality control measures to uphold the lodge’s reputation for exceptional dining experiences.
  • Budget Management: Work within established budgets, controlling costs while maintaining the highest culinary standards.
  • Training and Development: Train and develop kitchen staff, promoting continuous improvement and skill enhancement.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of all culinary aspects, from menu planning to special events.


  • Culinary Qualification: Formal culinary training and a proven track record of success as an Executive Chef.
  • Creativity: Demonstrated ability to create unique and memorable culinary experiences.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate kitchen staff.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a luxury lodge or high-end restaurant setting.
  • Menu Planning: A keen understanding of local and international culinary trends, with the ability to craft menus that reflect the lodge’s commitment to excellence.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to seasonal changes, guest preferences, and special dietary needs.
  • Food Safety: Knowledge of and commitment to food safety standards and regulations.
