Description:
- Lead and inspire the culinary team to maintain the highest standards of food quality, creativity, and presentation.
- Develop innovative menus that showcase a fusion of local and international flavours, catering to diverse tastes and dietary preferences.
- Ensure consistency in the execution of dishes and maintain a commitment to excellence.
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and storage.
- Implement and enforce hygiene and safety standards to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Manage inventory, control costs, and optimise kitchen efficiency without compromising on quality.
- Foster a collaborative and positive kitchen environment through effective communication and teamwork.
- Train and develop culinary staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of exceptional guest experiences.
- Champion the lodge’s commitment to sustainability by sourcing local, organic, and ethically produced ingredients.
- Implement practices to minimise food waste and environmental impact, aligning with the lodge’s eco-friendly ethos.
- Work closely with the lodge management to create unique culinary experiences that elevate the overall guest experience.
- Solicit and respond to guest feedback, continuously striving to exceed expectations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role, preferably in a luxury hospitality setting.
- Strong culinary skills with a demonstrated ability to create diverse and high-quality menus.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Prior experience in training and developing culinary staff.
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, including inventory management, cost control, and adherence to safety and hygiene standards.
- Demonstrated ability to optimise kitchen efficiency without compromising on quality.
- A passion for culinary innovation and a track record of creating unique and memorable dining experiences.
- Ability to adapt to diverse culinary preferences and dietary requirements.
