Duty Manager – Luxury 5* Boutique Hotel – North Coast, KZN
Are you ready to be the orchestrator of elegance at a prestigious 5* Luxury Boutique Hotel on the North Coast of KZN? We’re seeking a dynamic and polished professional for the role of Duty Manager / Host. As the face of our clients luxurious establishment, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Live-Out Position. Hours/Days of work as per allocated roster. Report to: Hotel Manager.
Guest Services: Provide personalized service, anticipating guests’ needs for a seamless stay. Handle requests and complaints promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction from check-in to check-out.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate front office, F&B Service, Spa, Housekeeping, Security, and maintenance teams. Set high performance standards, foster a positive work environment, and provide guidance and support.
Operational Efficiency: Oversee daily operations, maintaining adherence to standard operating procedures. Ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and functionality, coordinating with departments for smooth communication and efficient problem-solving.
Revenue Management: Collaborate with the management team to maximize revenue and upsell hotel services to guests.
Guest Relations: Build and maintain strong guest relationships, attending to VIP guests, managing special requests, and creating personalized experiences to exceed expectations.
Crisis Management: Act as the first point of contact during emergencies, ensuring safety and well-being. Follow established protocols, communicate effectively, and handle incidents with professionalism.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, incidents, and other relevant information. Prepare reports on operational performance, guest feedback, and revenue-related metrics.
Minimum 6 years of experience in 5-star hospitality, with supervisory or management experience.
Hospitality Degree or Diploma.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fluency in multiple languages advantageous.
Impeccable grooming and professional appearance.
Strong leadership abilities, capable of motivating and developing a diverse team.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, ability to remain calm under pressure.
Sound knowledge of hotel operations, including front office procedures, reservations, and F&B management.
Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Opera Cloud and Micros/Symphony skills preferred.
