A leading South African employer is looking for a Chef de Partie to join their great team and be in charge of a particular area of production in their lounge
Plan and execute menus in collaboration with other colleagues
Ensure adequacy of supplies at all times
Place orders in a timely manner
Manage ingredients that should be frequently available on a daily basis
Follow the directions of the executive and sous chef
Suggest new ways of presentation of dishes
Suggest new rules and procedures for optimizing the cooking process
Give attention productivity of the kitchen such as speed and food quality
Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety and hygiene standards
Collaborate with other colleagues and seniors
Certificate / Diploma in culinary arts.
Previous Experience Working In A Busy Restaurant / Café Or Bar, Advantageous.
Ability To Perform General Calculations And Measurements And Apply This Knowledge To The Workplace.
Sufficient Knowledge Of Food And Food Preparation.
Must Be Medically And Physically Fit To Perform The Duties Required For This Position.
Professional In Behaviour And Appearance.
Must Be Able To Work In A Standing Position For Long Periods Of Time (Up To 8 Hours)
Must Be Able To Walk For Long Periods Of Time.
