Chef de Partie – 5* Luxury Eco Lodge – Limpopo

Join our client’s team at their 5* luxury eco lodge and contribute to creating magical culinary experiences in a world of outdoor hospitality. Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie to join their passionate culinary team in the Soutpansberg, Limpopo, South Africa.

Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie to join their passionate culinary team. You will be responsible for food preparation at a designated section, ensuring high quality and fresh food for each service. This includes setting up stations, prepping food, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness, and cooking dishes to perfection for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up the kitchen and stations before each service.
  • Prep food for each service and write prep lists for the designated station.
  • Clean and break down stations after each service and after closing.
  • Ensure food safety and correct storage of all cooked and uncooked products.
  • Label and date all food items to ensure food safety.
  • Implement First In First Out (FIFO) stock rotation to reduce and minimize waste.
  • Report and track food waste.
  • Maintain high quality standards at the designated station.


  • Matric with minimum English and Math literacy.
  • Diploma in food preparation and culinary arts.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-end dining kitchen.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Physical ability to perform the job, including long hours of standing, moving, and carrying objects.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Deep knowledge of food safety and preparation.
  • Good knife skills and cooking techniques.
