Chef de Cuisine – 5* Luxury Lodge – Western Cape
Our client is seeking an experienced and talented Chef de Cuisine to join their team at a prestigious game reserve. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food is consistently produced and presented to guests.
Plan and execute menus in accordance with the Executive Chef’s guidelines
Ensure food is consistently produced and presented to a high standard
Ensure that kitchen operations are compliant with health and safety regulations
Manage kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
Maintain accurate inventory and ordering of kitchen supplies and ingredients
Monitor food costs to ensure profitability
Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role
Strong culinary skills and knowledge of international cuisine
Experience in menu planning and execution
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work well under pressure and manage a team in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
