CEO/COO – Multi-Store Operations – Hospitality – Uganda
Ideally we are looking for an international candidate with a proven track record of managing 50+ multi store operations.
Its paramount they come from the hospitality sector, with experience in managing similar grab and go food/drink concepts
If they have African experience or working in developing markets it’s a big bonus.
Depending on the experience, we have a target net pay offer of around $7,000 – $10,000 p/month (with options of KPI Target incentives of between $15,000-$30,000)
For the right candidate we are also willing to explore a Dividend After Tax Profit share of between 5-8%

Job Description
looking for an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to supervise and control all strategic and operations aspect of the company.
You will be responsible for creating the tone and personality of the brand, managing structures and processes and driving strategy towards the company vision and financial success.
To thrive as the COO, you must be an inspiring leader, have an entrepreneurial mind-set and be able to see the ‘big picture’ in a variety of settings. The COO will be given autonomy and decision making powers to execute the strategy as discussed and agreed with Directors. Responsibilities
Develop business strategies aligned with company objectives.
Manage all operations and business activities consistent with strategy and mission.
Create sustainable best practices across product sourcing, packaging and community impact.
Establish and manage site roll outs, including new site identification feasibility assessments.
Establish standard operating procedures / best practice across business activities.
Lead, motivate, develop high performance teams, fostering a positive working environment.
Identify and implement staffing, training and hiring needs.
Promote and maintain the highest health, safety and hygiene standards.
Be customer-centric and nurture an excellent guest experience.
Build relationships with suppliers, partners and stakeholders, representing the company.
Monitoring conditions and trends within local market and international markets.
Execute financial goals, including but not limited to: cost of goods controls, inventory levels, driving profitability.
Requirements
Senior management experience with multi-unit retail, café, restaurant or coffee shop management experience.
Familiarity with diverse business functions such as operations, marketing, HR, finance.
Experience in developing profitable sales objectives and operational costs targets
Experience of managing across wide geographical area and cultures.
Well-organized, detailed oriented and able to multi-task.

Duration & Terms
Full Time Position located in Kampala, Uganda.
Initial 3-year contract (as per UG Work Permit), with option to renew for an additional 3 years.
International relocation one-off payment of USD$ 7,000 (if Applicable)
International relocation housing: Furnished apartment provided for first 3 months
All business-related expenses (travel, communication, etc.) to be paid for in full.
Company car will be provided
