Camp Manager – Luxury Safari Lodge – Zululand

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Camp Manager with a background in luxury safari hospitality to join our clients team. This role offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of a private reserve while ensuring the seamless operation of our clients exclusive camp.

Description:

Live-in position.

As the Camp Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating unforgettable moments for our clients guests. Reporting to the Lodge Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Guest Hosting: Welcome and host guests, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their stay. Provide personalized attention to meet individual needs.

Camp Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the camp, including housekeeping, food and beverage service, and other logistical aspects to maintain the highest standards.

Staff Management: Lead and motivate a team of camp staff to deliver exceptional service. Provide training and support to ensure a cohesive and efficient working environment.

Experience Enhancement: Collaborate with the Lodge Manager and other departments to create unique and memorable experiences for guests, enhancing their safari adventure.

Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Implement and oversee emergency procedures to guarantee the well-being of guests and staff.

Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with the Lodge Manager, camp staff, and other departments to coordinate activities and resolve any issues promptly.

Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative duties related to guest reservations, inventory management, and reporting as required.

Requirements:

Luxury Safari Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the luxury safari industry.

Guest Hosting: Proven track record in hosting and providing exceptional service to high-end clientele.

Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management abilities to guide and inspire a team to achieve excellence.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and staff.

Problem-Solving: Quick and effective problem-solving skills, particularly in a remote and dynamic environment.

Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work irregular hours as required in the hospitality industry.

Remuneration:

The salary for this position is R10,000 per month, and accommodation is provided as part of the live-in arrangement.
