Production Kitchen Manager – Delicatessen – Cape Town

A renowned establishment in the heart of Cape Town is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Kitchen Manager to oversee our clients dynamic kitchen operations. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining their commitment to delivering high-quality food products to their discerning customers.

Job Title: Production Kitchen Manager

Location: Cape Town, Sea Point

Salary: R25,000 per month

Start Date: Immediate


Operational Oversight:
Manage day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards.
Oversee food production processes, including baking and other culinary activities.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Staff Management:
Lead and inspire a team of kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Conduct training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of kitchen staff.
Schedule and coordinate staff shifts to meet production requirements.

Quality Control:
Implement and enforce strict quality control measures throughout the production process.
Regularly inspect finished products to ensure they meet our high standards.
Address and rectify any quality issues promptly.

Inventory Management:
Oversee the procurement of ingredients and supplies, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
Monitor and control food costs while maintaining quality and freshness.

Menu Development:
Collaborate with the culinary team to contribute ideas for menu development.
Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques into our offerings.


Proven experience in a managerial role within a production kitchen.
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in baking and other culinary disciplines.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
In-depth understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Working as a Bakery Manager in a Supermarket will be beneficial
