Assistant Front Office Manager – Luxury All-Suite 4* Hotel – Umhlanga

We are currently seeking a highly organized and guest-focused individual to join our clients team as the Assistant Front Office Manager for a prestigious luxury all-suite 4* hotel in Umhlanga, South Africa. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a pre-opening team and assist in leading the front office operations of their hotel.

As the Assistant Front Office Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring exceptional guest service and smooth daily operations at the front desk. Your strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence will contribute to establishing the hotel as a premier destination for discerning travelers in Umhlanga.

Description:

  • Assist the Front Office Manager in overseeing all aspects of the front desk operations, including guest check-in and check-out, reservations, and concierge services
  • Train and develop front desk staff, providing guidance and coaching to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction
  • Ensure smooth and efficient operations, addressing any guest concerns or issues promptly and satisfactorily
  • Assist in managing room inventory, rates, and availability to maximize revenue and occupancy
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Monitor and evaluate guest feedback, taking proactive measures to improve service quality and guest experiences
  • Assist in implementing and enforcing hotel policies and procedures
  • Provide support to the Front Office Manager in various administrative tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Front Office Manager or in a similar role within a luxury hotel or resort
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests and team members
  • Proven ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and satisfactorily
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and front office software is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is advantageous
