The Application Support Analyst is responsible for resolving customer requests and problems relating to core business applications, databases integration and reports. The Systems Application Support Analyst will report to the Systems Manager.
Log Systems Incidents, Problems and Changes via the Service Management System.
Provide application, systems, and database support.
Take ownership of problems relating SQL and front-end applications and ensure that appropriate solutions are implement.
Share the reasonability with your team to deliver to after-hours support services.
Keep stakeholders updated about problems, changes, and incidents.
Configure systems, applications and databases
Create new and change existing SQL/SSRS reports
Work with DBA’s, Application Vendors to resolve problems and implement changes.
Analyse requirements and contribute to delivering solutions to meet business objectives.
Contribute to maintaining databases and applications, including upgrading software and applying patches.
Apply, amend and remove application and database security permissions.
Back up and restoring databases
Create database schemas, tables, procedures and permissions
Implement systems changes while adhering to change procedures.
Create new and update existing technical documentation
Writing and communication.
Patience and understanding.
Data cleaning and preparation.
Data analysis and exploration.
3 years’ experience in application support and/or database administration
Experience with MS SQL Server in a working environment, including sound knowledge of constructing SQL queries
Good knowledge of Information system terminologies, concepts, functions, policies, and procedures
Experience with SQL Reporting Services, VB.Net, API’s, Web Services and XML
